Book three just dropped a plot bomb on me.   And boy, is it going to have repercussions if it turns out to be a real one.

And no, I can’t tell you anything about it.

Can I just say with glee how much I love posts like this? Maybe it makes me weird(er), but I get all “yay! The book is ALIVE! It’s evil, and it will eat my brain! Yay!”

Of course, I like books that eat my brain, so make of that what you will :P

Glad to know you like books that eat your brain…I like plot bombs, except when they keep me up so late that I oversleep badly in the morning.

Plot bomb continues to deliver. Something over 2500 words out of this one so far.

    Taking break now.

    Again: Tease.

I’d say “Sorry,” but I’m not. Yes, it’s a tease. OTOH, would you rather wonder if I was working on the book or lounging somewhere with no intention of finishing the story for the next ten years?

Nope! I like live books. I love plot bombs. Mine explode so called short stories into short book legnth. I hope you have greater sucess at retaining them than I do…

I’d grump about teases (I prefer your snipits), but I received a gift card to a major bookseller for Christmas and just pre-ordered Oath of Fealty. -Kathleen

Some people consider snippets teases…I’m never sure, to be honest. I can’t make the book come out earlier, so just about anything I say could be thought a tease.

My editor told me today that when they’ve posted chapter one on their website, I can post another goodsized chunk (but only one) on my Paksworld site.

But once more I’m forced to drop Book 3 to do some necessary-but-interrupting chores on Book 2. Nobody’s fault, just a reality of publishing that writers, as well as editors, have scutwork sorts of things to deal with.

Today, trying to distill the whole monster into a paragraph of “the highest high points.”
