I’ve seen the cover art for Oath of Fealty from the Del Rey office. Oh, wow! It’s not what I imagined it would be, so it took me a moment to refocus my brain, but it’s stunning and a strong design. (And it should be easy to notice on bookshelves, hurray!)
As soon as they let me, I’ll post an image.

Elizabeth, I remember meeting you at Balticon many years ago. I was absolutely floored by the Paksennarion series, as it has the finest character development of any book(s) I have ever read. I asked you at the time how much your Marine experience helped in the writing, and we concluded the answer was “not much”. I’ve been a serious fan of your work ever since, and thank you for your books, especially for your many female heroes. As I have three daughters and four grand-daughters, I can point to your books as some great examples of character building guidance.
The immediate motivator for this note, however, is the cover of the latest book. I immediately noticed that I recognized the face as identical to that of Jeanine Mason, the dancer who won “So You Think You Can Dance” last spring. If she wasn’t the model, she has a twin.
Thank you for your work, it is sincerely appreciated.
