In other words, I actually held the  US hardcover in my hands today!!!  My very own first copy!!

And did a pure fangirl bounce-bounce-bounce in the kitchen, making squee-type noises that did not in any way resemble music.    I’m not sure they could be rendered in normal spelling.

The cover, ladies & gentlemen, is not only beautiful, but the title is embossed.

I sat in the car turning pages while our son went into Whataburger to get his supper.   I carried it into a friend’s house, in a plastic bag (there are cats.  And dogs.  And craftspeople who might’ve been working with something that smudges, but they hadn’t been, so I took it out and let them all hold it.)    I sat in the car turning pages while waiting for him to finish ice-skating.   You might think someone’s 20-somethingth book wouldn’t get this reaction…but the thrill is still there, every time.

And I bought a new printer this evening to replace the one that’s started yanking the paper in cant-ways and then saying it has a paper jam, so I can print more business cards.    And another antiqued map, and so on.

Wow.  It’s real.  It actually got done in time to ship it to places where the rest of you can find it, be those online stores, brick-and-mortar stores, or libraries.
