Not Really Goofing Off

Two days with no posts to this blog…o woe.   But it’s been a busy two days for me, and I offer up the following excuses.   Finishing (through several drafts) the required annual wildlife management report for the county tax appraisal district and turning it in.  (For more details, see the 80 acres blog.)    Then there was son’s first week of college, with some unexpected bits that aren’t even given on my autism-related blog or LiveJournal account.   And the essay I’m working on for the Texas A&M SF exhibition based on their large collection.   And the blog entries my publishers would like me to do on their sites.  And prep for ConDFW.    And prep for the release date of the new book.So if you were getting ready to land on me for goofing off…mercy, mercy, I cry.   (Did I mention making bread in there somewhere?  And various other necessary household stuff?  No?  Well count that too.)

Working on other stuff does not preclude thinking about the new book (the newest new book) as long as I don’t drive into something or stop in the middle of the grocery store parking lot deep in thought.    One current and pressing issue is “Who really does have the necklace, and where is it?”   A no longer has it and I think is dead.  B and C had it only briefly.   They don’t count.  But D…does D still have it?  Why?  Or did D pass it on to E (and when, where, why?)

And where does the sand painting come in?

And who is that masked man?  (It’s not Arvid, that much I know. )
