Taking Flight

Even though I just found yet another unfixed rough spot  in the new book,  Book Two is almost certain to take off for NYC and its Editor tomorrow.    What rough spot, you ask (thinking, surely this writer has filed off all the rough spots and polished them smooth by now…)

In a conversation between Kieri and an elf, I had written variations on an argument–and hadn’t settled on one of them.  Yes, two were still in there together, not really meshing.

Now that’s been taken care of.

In another, a certain gnome’s next move is left sort of hanging.   Well, it was left hanging.  Now it’s not, or not as much.

There are some dangling threads I’m planning to pick up in the next book, but my editor may prefer to have them tacked down a bit in this one.    We don’t want people tripping in the long runs of those threads behind the canvas…but how long is too long?

I want to double-check two more scenes tonight, if I can get it done by midnight–but at midnight,  I’m hitting the sack (and hoping it doesn’t hit back.)
