4800 words so far today.

164,800-something for the book.

And two pages into the next chapter, I realized I had written the end, at the end of the previous chapter.  It may grow or shrink some, but the skeleton and most of the flesh are there.

I couldn’t stop today.  I was at that point where I just had to go on until either I fell over or I came to the end.

Of course I could be wrong and what I think is the end isn’t, but I think it is, because it feels like the ending of Oath of Gold, when I had in mind a fancy sort of ending and Paks just got up and rode away.   I had planned a fancy scene for this one–palace celebration kind of thing–but  I suspec that’s overkill.

At any rate, the 4800 words is causing some pain, so I’m going to quit, at least for awhile.   And I am NOT starting book three tonight, though it’s bubbling merrily on the fire and tells me it’s ready any time now.
