Should have added other good news: the cover design for the POD edition of Deeds of Honor (the paper kind, that is) is *almost* final. (Back cover and spine had to be done, you see.)

And the OTHER other good news, which is that on-signing advance for the new book has made it to my agent, who has electronically whizzed it to my bank. In anticipation of this largesse, various appliances began failing (one actually did; the others are just “making a funny noise” now and then) a couple of weeks ago…about the time I signed the contract, in fact. But hey–it’s money, it’s welcome, and it will go toward other people having money to eat with and pay bills with, so all’s good about that. No starvation in this house other than an attempt (so far unsuccessful) to get back on our “healthy diet” that we sort of dropped when we were sick, also a few weeks ago. (When you’re sick you eat whatever will stay down, right? And you nibble freely on things because…you need to.)

My mother always said, “If it sounds good [when you’re sick], eat it.”

IOW, I’m quite certain that “food has no calories when you have a fever…”.

    So yeah, nibble freely!!!!

If “healthy diet” didn’t keep you from getting sick …

    Hurray for Deeds of Honor!

…and I just happen to have some money left on a just-received gift card! Looking forward to reading these.

Glad to hear you’re feeling better.

And thank you for the B&N version. I have just finished a first read. The last story is especially fine.

Loved Mercenary’s Honor from Operation Arcana book. It was released today and had to read the story before going to work.

Good news about Barnes and Noble and the contract. I am looking forward to the book.
I am sorry you were sick, I hope healthy diet sounds appetizing again.

It is horribly cold and windy here, so I am using all of my soup recipes.

Wanted to drop a line about Mercenary’s Honor (from Operation Arcana)… was a very enjoying read. Got it yesterday evening and it was lovely to see Kieri and Halveric a couple of years before the Deed began.

Thanks for that Story too, Elizabeth!

    Hello? [echoing sound]

    Anybody around? [dead silence]

[mutters] Elizabeth must be working on a book. Hope so any way. Hope it’s not a family crisis.

    Miss the exchanges.

Sorry. Yes, stuff going on, some of it frustrating, and book going on, some frustrating and some fun stuff too. Also a power outage or two, with resultant time lost and need to dig in afterwards.

From an Author’s Royalty/Income standpoint: Which is the better e-book vendor-Amazon or B&N?

When the POD becomes available, will you please post it over on LiveJournal? I don’t always think to check over here, but read that daily.

    Thanks!
