Deeds of Honor Cover Reveal

Looks like the powers that be have approved a cover design, and I like it.

So, here ’tis.    There might still be changes, but I suspect this is it.

Deed-of-Honor-cover

Meanwhile, the new book continues to make progress, in spite of everything, and Agent is happy with it after reading 150 pages.  I’m over 170 pages now.   Everyone’s in a bad way…well, almost everyone, and the ones who aren’t are about to find the fan hitting them hard.   The book has several growth centers, so it’s deepening in one area while moving out in another.

The new contract will be a two-book contract for two SF books–the offer would be lower for fantasy because the Vatta books outsold the Paks books.    I may consider self-pubbing the next Paks books when the time comes, depending in part on the success of the collection.

Thank you all for your support.

    Pretty.

One thing, and it’s probably just me, but it’s oddly distracting to see the sword pointing toward the spine of the book.

Iphinome: do you happen to be left-handed? Being a northpaw myself, the sword looks to be in perfect position [grin].

    Yes to the cover.

    (Tree-and-harp: nice image, good resonances)

Very nice. I’m doing a reread of Crown. Those poor Verrakai kids. Dorrin was their anchor in their new world.
Arvid is even better on the reread.

It’s lovely – do you have a publication date yet? Not yet on Amazon, alas…..

Nope, no pub date yet. Just got cover OK from person with final veto on Monday, and they’re off for the rest of the week.

    Sorry, guys.

Tree & harp is my doing. And Ruta’s. She found the image.

    Nice cover!

However you publish the next Paks book, I’ll be sure to buy it as soon as I can.

So glad that there is a new book contract offer! I enjoy both your sf & your fantasy. I think self-pubbing is viable these days, especially if you do it with a bunch of previously (or currently) traditionally published authors. Have you considered: http://bookviewcafe.com/bookstore/about-book-view-cafe/ or http://www.openroadmedia.com/about-open-road-integrated-media.aspx? Can’t wait to read more space opera or Paks world fantasy from you. I read “First Blood” in Shattered Shields yesterday & really enjoyed it, of course! Thanks! And please keep writing!!!
