Nose to the Grindstone

Back on the 2000 words/day schedule for as long as I can hold it (planning for less wordage when husband’s in the hospital and I’m driving back and forth, feeding horses, checking the wildlife guzzlers, etc.)   Saturday was productive with 2160.

Current wordage is ~103,200; end of day should top 104,000.    A certain Personage has finally shown up onstage (I knew Personage existed and would be plot-critical, but Personage came in Personage’s own sweet time) and this is helping untangle a previously difficult tangle.

Back to work.   The nose on the grindstone is thickening its callus.

Go! Go! Go! I hope the momentum keeps up when you need it. Prayers for all your medical concerns.

I love/hate these named/unnamed personages. They are so tantalizing and we still don’t even have a release date for Echoes! (Large melodramatic sigh)

Re personage. What she said. Tease.

    Stay cool.

Rain dances gratefully accepted from anybody.

What percentage of that gets cut when you start your revisions?

I was surprised to see “Echoes of Betrayal” – with a seriously annoyed dragon on the cover – on Amazon this morning. Congratulations on the cover design, but we, your readers, surely wish that it was coming sooner than the reported February 21, 2012.

    Today’s quota done…now over 106,000. Hand’s a bit sore–going to knit now (relaxes what typing/mousing makes sore.)

February 2012 is fantastic — given that the other books have come out in March. I gave in and pre-ordered from Amazon. Gave me the opportunity to order some other books I’ve been wanting to order as well.

They’ve added the subtitle: Paladin’s Legacy to the title. Interesting.

I just finished rereading Kings of the North and found many more possibilities for the way parts of the tale might lead than I found the first time through. Then, due to comments here, searched out Amazon’s writeup on “Echoes of Betrayal” and realized that I’m not likely to see the issues I was speculating about come to resolution in Book 3. (I knew that anyway…)

    Patience…
    Waiting is….

But I want to find out what happens next!
🙂 I’ll be eagerly waiting for the new
book in late Feb like the rest of us.

BTW, with reference to needing a bunch of books moved to paint a wall: there might be a few Texas-area fans who might volunteer to move books and paint on some Saturday morning when it’s a bit cooler in return for a reading of some limited parts of Book 3. 🙂 🙂

Remember: Book Three (Echoes) is the hinge book: some doors swing open more, and some swing shut. Those that swing open in the last half to third of a hinge book will stay open until the finale.

Doors that swing shut in this group of books might (no promises) swing open in another. When working one book-group I can’t really see another…this one has my entire book-writing processor locked up.

Yeah, I’ve seen that…talk about horrible working conditions! Luckily I’m able to slouch more or less upright.
