Very likely Book III will get a new title in the next few days.    I’m participating in the process of coming up with a new one.    There was editorial concern that Crisis of Vision, though it did fit the “hinge book” position, did not carry enough of the epic fantasy feel (and in fact “felt” more like a nonfiction book to some.)   This will not delay the schedule or anything; it’s just one of those changes that comes along, and I thought I’d give y’all a heads-up about it.   I think I mentioned that the US edition now has cover art, but I’m not cleared to show it to you yet (and the old title’s on it, so it’s a good thing it’s not spread all over the internet.)

I’m back at work on IV, which is bucking some at being told (by me) that it has to accordion itself and contain more time.    Still considering whether a future scene I know about should end IV or open V.   Paks has finally reappeared (still not giving me a POV, however)  and I know where she was, but not completely why.    It’s hard, not being in her head, and her head is now like a granite boulder–impenetrable to my mental radar.

However,  others are willing to let me in, so the story marches (and rides) on.

I don’t know if you want suggestions or not, If not, go ahead and delete this. Could you just add an ‘s’ to the end? ‘Visions’ tends to imply fantasy or at least something that is not totally down-to-earth.

No suggestions outside the “boardroom” on this one, and it’s already done: both Editors and I landed on the same square (a square originally laid down with a slightly different pattern on it by UK Editor.)

I think your editors are over-thinking the title; I thought it was lovely. Oh well.
