The interview’s fairly serious; the blog post is about the fun and the possibilities for humor while writing.

Great interview. Isn’t it fun when the questions show the interviewer actually knows your books?

For me, the internal links on the Lytherus site don’t work. This could be a Firefox Thing, though; I can try it in Internet Explorer also.

Nope. All I can see is the list of what was posted which days. No links to the actual content. Any advice?

Margaret: The links worked for me but the actual links were hard to see…the color contrast isn’t strong. I use Firefox, so I know the links will work with even an old Firefox (mine is creaking at the joints) but it did take me two visits to the site to *find* them. Right at the end of the text for each item, the ellipsis dots.

I had trouble finding the links too. I really liked what you said about the difference between Dorrin in the Deed vs Dorrin in this series. Thanks!

BTW, my favorite short story is “If Nudity Offends You”. Wonderful characterizations, not to mention a must-read-it title.
Regarding “technical language” of fencing or anything else: Description is much better than this-world-connected terms that have no linguistic basis in Paksworld. Your writing has the feel of substance because of that.
And real life is never neatly wrapped up at the end of a story. Dangling ends and continuing questions add verisimilitude, as you say, beyond the edge of the painting.

There ARE no ellipsis dots showing on my screen when I am at the Lytherus site. And I also cannot “sign in via Facebook” where the site offers that option, to send a complaint directly to their management.

Try using their Serach box (right side of the screen) searching for Moon. That finds the ‘interview’ – then when you open that for some unknown reason the other article link appears on the far right.
Took me a lot of messing to find the articles. I was almost wondering if there was some country filtering to block from the UK or some such. The ‘Featured author’ bit does get you anywhere. How anyone finds this site useful is hard to fathom. However great articles once you find them!

Richard’s link to the interview posted Friday of that week worked just fine, but I still have not been able to get to any of the other articles. Even typing in the text of the description in Lytherus’ search box only led to a dead end. And for me there are no links active on the dates-of-posting.
To say I am dis-impressed with Lytherus’ website is massive understatement.

I do get a message sometimes at the bottom of Lytherus pages: “This page is forcing your browser to use legacy mode, which is not compatible with Disqus.”

I am increasingly annoyed with Disqus. Now, nobody’s pages demand that I use legacy mode with my browser, which is in legacy mode all by itself. (Since, every time I update software, whoever designs it has skillfully changed, eliminated, or otherwise mucked about with the very part I was happiest with, I update as infrequently as possible. I don’t know how they know what it is I most want them to leave alone, but they screw it up every time.)
