…for ConDFW (I leave in the morning, won’t be back until Monday night, and may not post until Tuesday),\u00a0 Editor sent me an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy, also known as a review copy) of the book.\u00a0\u00a0 (Let me tell you, hearing that people had bought one on e-Bay, when I didn’t have one, was a strain on my equanimity!)\u00a0\u00a0 However, I now have something for show-and-tell, even though it doesn’t have any of the artwork.While prowling through the files in the Oath of Fealty folder, to find what I wanted to take to ConDFW for the reading, I discovered a chapter I’d forgotten (didn’t make it into the book) which my husband said would make a good reading chunk. \u00a0 I squinted at it and realized that more than that, it would make a good short story in the 2500 word range, if I tweaked it some.\u00a0 Tweaking occurred (more fun than packing, as I should’ve been) and I sent it off to Editor, who had requested relevant, appetite-whetting short fiction earlier in the week, as you may recall from a post about it.<\/a> Editor liked it. \u00a0 So it, too, is going to ConDFW.<\/p>\n

Why, you may wonder, isn’t it in the book?\u00a0\u00a0 Because it’s one of those stories I write in another POV, to get inside a character who, nonetheless, doesn’t need a POV section now.\u00a0\u00a0 Or maybe ever.\u00a0 But I need to understand him or her.\u00a0 In this case, it’s the king of Pargun.\u00a0\u00a0 It will be up on Suvudu.com at some point, as will the other one.<\/p>\n

Also in the good news category, some good reviews have shown up, including one Editor sent me a line of, from RTBookReviews.com<\/a>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
