Been at this all morning and of course found something that needed massive amounts of work.\u00a0\u00a0 Had to print out another 40-something pages, to check for repeated points in multiple conversations…the sort of thing that real people do, but that (so I’ve been told for year) annoys readers no end.\u00a0\u00a0 “He said that already!”\u00a0\u00a0 (As if we didn’t all say the same things over and over…but fiction isn’t reality, and this is one of the ways.)<\/p>\n
It’s almost 1 pm and instead of being halfway from where I was to the end, I’ve been fighting with a 62 page (overlong) chapter with a lot of “stuff” in it.\u00a0 Very important information has to be conveyed–but only once–and always in character for both the teller and the told–which at the moment it’s not, esp. after I’ve changed the order, removed duplicates, etc.<\/p>\n
