To all who celebrate, Merry Christmas.<\/p>\n
At Wednesday’s rehearsal, when I found out a choir member was retiring after 34 years from the National Guard–and is a MSgt–I thought of how much I’ve enjoyed this woman in the years I’ve known her, and how well her character would fit into the book.\u00a0\u00a0 So I asked.\u00a0 She’s delighted.<\/p>\n
The fellow whose name I had decided to change…will change more than that, since this is the best fit for her personality.<\/p>\n
We had snow for about an hour in the afternoon of Christmas Eve, which was a bit worrisome with the long drive ahead, but it stopped shortly before we had to leave, and we had a safe drive down and back.\u00a0\u00a0 High winds, but not bad enough to cause us a problem (glad I wasn’t driving a bus or tall truck!)<\/p>\n
We went to the early service (7 pm) at St. Matthew’s, where Richard’s in the choir, and the 10:30 service at St. David’s, where I sing in the choir, with a drive across the city in between.\u00a0 Gorgeous music both places.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Then we drove home, making it back out here by 1:40 am.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
