{"id":1832,"date":"2013-04-24T18:18:08","date_gmt":"2013-04-25T00:18:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.paksworld.com\/blog\/?p=1832"},"modified":"2013-04-24T18:18:08","modified_gmt":"2013-04-25T00:18:08","slug":"we-have-title-for-book-v","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.paksworld.com\/blog\/?p=1832","title":{"rendered":"We Have Title for Book V"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Editor has approved the title for Book V:\u00a0 <em>Crown of Renewal<\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Scheduled to release late May 2014, though that&#8217;s always subject to change .\u00a0\u00a0 You will soon notice that title as a category (like, um, for this post.)<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The chapters I was working on today, supposedly sequential, refused to meet at the join (like badly sawed boards), \u00a0 so there&#8217;s revision work to be done there.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Those chapters and another one (or two) will answer perennial questions of the &#8220;Yes, but what ever happened to&#8230;???&#8221;\u00a0 variety.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 (And no, all such questions won&#8217;t be answered yet.)<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately for the struggling writer, other questions arose, of the &#8220;Wait&#8211;why didn&#8217;t X notice that right at the beginning???\u00a0 X isn&#8217;t blind, unconscious, dead, or stupid&#8230;&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Along with that was &#8220;But I wrote a whole 12 1\/2 pages depending on X not noticing that.\u00a0\u00a0 Good pages.\u00a0 Exciting pages.\u00a0\u00a0 Major plot points with foreshadowing of other major plot points pages.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t want to dump them&#8230;maybe X could have a headache?&#8221; \u00a0 (No, dear readers, X will not fail to notice [that thing X might be expected to notice] because of a headache.\u00a0\u00a0 Some less flimsy solution will be found.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In fact, I think I have one that improves the whole plotline (DUH&#8211;<em>why<\/em> can&#8217;t I think of these things <em>first<\/em>?)<\/p>\n<p>One of the other chapters I worked on today seems to have tied itself up neatly (at this point, with this book, I don&#8217;t trust that, but it was a relief after several hours attempting better joinery of the other two.)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It may be the last chapter, or it may be the last of one POV.<\/p>\n<p>A note on the website\/blog availability.\u00a0\u00a0 SFF.net hopes nothing will be offline, but some things may be slower, during the annual spring cleaning.\u00a0 The earlier outages were for replacing and adding servers, so things could be shifted to different servers for the Big Clean.<\/p>\n<p>And a note on Lifestuff.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The fitness program is helping some things and revealing (like a book in progress) new things to work on.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I may actually have to give in and see a medical person.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I rode in the Autism Society of Austin&#8217;s annual fundraiser (bike riding, not horse riding)\u00a0 on Sunday,\u00a0 my first time to ride &#8220;in public,&#8221;
