Who: Marshal-General Arianya, Marshal Sofan, Rort his yeoman-marshal, and various witnesses to the challenge.<\/p>\n
Approximate situation (unspoilered, I hope):\u00a0 Sofan and Rort have done something that caused Arianya to order them brought to her for judgment, but they are unrepentant and Sofan has challenged her to mortal combat.\u00a0\u00a0 She hopes he will reconsider, but he’s adamant; he’s\u00a0 younger than she is,\u00a0 somewhat of a bully.<\/p>\n

Arianya nodded to the others.\u00a0 “High Marshals, bring forth the swords.”\u00a0 She unwrapped her own sword belt; Sofan and Rort had been disarmed already.\u00a0 Now Sofan looked uncertain for the first time.<\/p>\n
