What I think (and devoutly hope) is the last pre-submission scene to be ripped up and rewritten was finished this morning by 10 am local time.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I was writing like crazy until 2:45 am when I pretty much froze up, joints and brain together, and started again this morning at 7:30am.\u00a0 You are reading the typing of a very tired writer.<\/p>\n

In other words–though at least another run-through to check for consistency problems introduced by the new scene must be done–Book IV has jelled.\u00a0 Most of it has had three run-throughs at least.\u00a0\u00a0 I should be ready to ship it off tomorrow or the next day…barring finding another “I can’t believe it’s not right” scene.\u00a0\u00a0 Present wordage (fine-tuning and Editor changes will affect this, hopefully not too much) is a little over 167,000 words.<\/p>\n
