This evening I’m struggling to dry (somehow) a shirt I meant to wash in the hotel room washbasin Saturday but forgot in a drawer…and now it’s a damp pink lump.\u00a0 So far the hair dryer has made scant inroads on its dampness (yes, yes, it was rolled in towels before ever being hung up.)\u00a0\u00a0 I shouldn’t have washed it.\u00a0 I should have carried it home dirty.\u00a0 Sigh.\u00a0\u00a0 Nobody bugged Paks about putting a dirty shirt in her pack on the way back from a foray.<\/p>\n
I had a good time and came up with some additional ideas (and another several-many hundred words of text) while at the convention.\u00a0\u00a0 Not being GOH relieved me of some responsibilities, and I felt comfortable diving into my room for a break when I needed one.<\/p>\n
Now I’m packing.\u00a0\u00a0 I bought books.\u00a0 How the heck am I going to get them home???\u00a0\u00a0 My stuff was plenteous enough already.\u00a0\u00a0 Tomorrow morning, I take a taxi (yes, expensive, but easier on me than transferring my luggage through three trains instead of two) to Baltimore International Airport’s Amtrak station, and hop on a train to D.C.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 After an hour or two, I’ll be on the train to Chicago, and then after a pause in Chicago’s station and a chance of trains, sometime Thursday evening, back home in Texas.<\/p>\n
