{"id":108,"date":"2009-01-23T23:07:20","date_gmt":"2009-01-24T05:07:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.paksworld.com\/blog\/?p=108"},"modified":"2009-01-23T23:07:20","modified_gmt":"2009-01-24T05:07:20","slug":"new-onsite-people-of-paksworld","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.paksworld.com\/blog\/?p=108","title":{"rendered":"New onsite: People of Paksworld"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.paksworld.com\/\">website<\/a>,\u00a0 part one of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.paksworld.com\/people.html\">People<\/a> section is now up and live.\u00a0 It covers the basic groups, some of which&#8211;elves, dwarves, and gnomes&#8211; have been discussed on this blog.\u00a0\u00a0 I took out some bits of the blog info as not really necessary, and added some.<\/p>\n<p>Additional groups discussed include the kuaknom\/iynisin\/dark cousins&#8211;those &#8220;fallen&#8221; elves the others don&#8217;t like to mention&#8211;and four basic, distinct human lineages: the Old Humans of the north, the magelords who came over the sea from Old Aare to Aarenis (and later, the north), the horse nomads,\u00a0 and the Seafolk.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The people in the far west, beyond Kolobia, are peripheral enough (so far!) that they&#8217;re not being included.<\/p>\n<p>Eventually (but not immediately&#8211;need to spend more time on the books proper) there&#8217;ll be more background information on specific people&#8211;both &#8220;current&#8221; (in book terms) and historical (ditto), myths and legends, religions, etc.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over on the website,\u00a0 part one of the People section is now up and live.\u00a0 It covers the basic groups, some of which&#8211;elves, dwarves, and gnomes&#8211; have been discussed on this blog.\u00a0\u00a0 I took out some bits of the blog info as not really necessary, and added some.
